Marion Island overwintering team returns to Cape Town

The overwinter team that was stranded on South Africa's Marion Island in the southern Indian Ocean, has arrived safely in Cape Town. A shortage of critical fuel, because of the ongoing high tension between Iran and America, delayed the 20-person team's return that was scheduled for April. However, the Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, ordered an urgent evacuation. The SA Agulhas II relief voyage to Marion Island started on 14 May.
