The disruption to fuel supplies has caused new problems for global trade, from rising raw material costs to higher insurance fees. In the eastern Chinese city of Yiwu, a major commercial hub, traders have been forced to adjust. In Yiwu, every trader is now a Middle East expert – by choice, or by circumstance. The winds from Hormuz may be strong, but here in Yiwu, the market is still moving forward. Even as uncertainty grows, Yiwu's traders continue to navigate the waves of global trade.
