Parties divided over troop deployment effectiveness

Some of the political parties represented in Parliament have expressed mixed feelings about the effectiveness of the deployment of soldiers in certain crime ridden provinces in the country. The deployment of the South African Defence Force members began last month. They have a joint operation with the police in provinces that are confronted by gang violence and illegal mining.
