* Judgment in the bail application of suspended cop Sergeant Fannie Nkosi will be handed down today in the Pretoria North Magistrate's Court. Nkosi faces three counts of failure to secure firearms, eight counts of failing to protect ammunition, defeating the ends of justice and failure to mount a safe.

* The Special Investigating Unit has 60 days to institute legal proceedings against businessman Siyabonga Nkosi, after an investigation revealed that he unduly beneffited from questionable Eskom contracts.

* A new witness is expected to take the stand at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry this morning. The Commission is set to hear evidence relating to alleged criminality in the Sedibeng area in Gauteng.

* U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that the ceasefire with Iran was been extended until an agreement between Washington and Tehran is reached. The development comes hours before the two-week ceasefire was due to expire and after Iranian officials indicated they would not travel to Islamabad, Pakistan for a second round of talks until the U.S. naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz was lifted.
