{GRAPHIC} Murder suspect boyfriend appears in court

A 27-year-old man, suspected of killing his 37-year-old girlfriend, has appeared at the Orlando Magistrate's Court in Soweto.

Simiso Phakathi faces charges of murder for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend, Jabulisile Tshabalala, to death.

Tshabalala was last seen alive on the 7th of August before her body was found six days later in her room in Orlando, covered in a towering pile of blankets.

Tshabalala's murder comes as the country marks Women's Month.
