Energy in spotlight as Putin visits China • FRANCE 24 English

President Xi Jinping welcomed president Putin to Beijing on Wednesday for a bilateral summit set to last two days. In his opening remarks Xi stressed the need for the cessation of hostilities in the Middle East to stablise energy supplies and the pair discussed the "Power of Siberia 2" natural gas pipeline, although no deal on it was reached.
