E Cape Floods | NMB to get storm water drains to prevent flooding

Eastern Cape Cogta MEC, Zolile Williams, says his department will create surface storm water drains in Nelson Mandela Bay Metro, to avoid flooding during heavy rainfall. Williams visited the Metro following persistent heavy rain that battered the area leading to flooding. During the past floods old drainage system was attributed for severe flooding. Nearly three thousand residents were evacuated and placed in local centres.
