India has achieved a significant milestone in aviation navigation with the DGCA successfully conducting the country's first satellite-based landing system (SLS) approach on a jet aircraft. The trial, carried out on an IndiGo Airbus A320 at Udaipur Airport, used GAGAN, the indigenous satellite navigation system jointly developed by ISRO and the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
