Phala Phala case | David says his visit to Bela-Bela was to attend car show and not to steal money

Accused number one in the theft of 580 thousand US dollars at President Cyril Ramaphosa's Phala Phala farm, Imanuela David, told the Modimolle Regional Court in Limpopo that his visit to Bela-Bela from Cape Town in February 2020 was to attend a car show, not to steal cash from the farm.
According to a cell phone data analyst, David was the alleged mastermind of the cash theft, testifying that he was in Bela-Bela the day before and after the infamous theft at the farm. David and his co-accused, Floriana and Ndilinasho Joseph, face three charges each relating to the robbery. Rendani Raliphaswa has more.
