Singapore, China call for Middle East ceasefire as foreign ministers meet

Singapore and China have called for a Middle East ceasefire to help restore shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. During Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan's visit to Beijing — where he met his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi — both sides also agreed to deepen ties in areas such as the green and digital economies.
