Forensics Chaos | Makgotloe case postponed to 2 June

The case against a senior police crime scene and ballistic analyst attached to the SAPS Forensic Science Laboratory, has been postponed to the 2nd of June.

Captain Laurence Makgotloe briefly appeared in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court.

The matter was postponed for further investigations and a possible bail application.

He is accused of attempting to misrepresent facts in the murder case of Armand Swart, which could have resulted in the matter being thrown out of court.

Makgotle faces other charges, including defeating the ends of justice, and unlawful possession of ammunition.
