SA Goverrnment calls for unity this Africa Day

Government has used Africa Day to call for unity, while reminding everyone living in South Africa to comply with the country's laws.

In its Africa Day message, government acknowledged mounting pressures from unemployment and poverty, saying they continue to test livelihoods and social cohesion.

Against a backdrop of tensions around migration, it stressed that South Africa is governed by the rule of law, and that all residents are expected to follow legal processes.
