Crude Oil संकट के बीच भारत ने बढ़ाया LPG उत्पादन

#WATCH | Due to the West Asia crisis, our imports have been affected, including about 40% of our crude oil imports, 90% of our LPG imports, and almost 65% of our natural gas imports. However, all efforts have been made to ensure smooth supply of petroleum products within the country. As a result, refinery production of LPG has been increased, reaching around 50,000 tonnes per day. Some panic buying is being observed at LPG retail outlets in certain states such as parts of Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh. After analysis, the main reasons appear to be agricultural demand and a shift of bulk demand towards retail outlets. In addition, demand from private suppliers has also shifted to public sector oil marketing company retail outlets. In this regard, video conferences have been held with all states and Union Territories, and discussions have taken place. State governments and Union Territories have been requested to assist in monitoring. At the Oil Marketing Company (OMC) level and at the ministry level, all retail outlets are being closely monitored so that any intermittent shortages can be immediately addressed and stocks of petrol and diesel at all retail outlets can be promptly replenished: Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas
