WC authorities visit storm-stricken areas

Western Cape authorities are undertaking an oversight visit to storm-stricken areas of the province this week. Eleven people died in one of the biggest and most destructive storms in decades in the province. Western Cape Premier, Alan Winde says more than 400 roads across the province were affected, with over 60 percent already repaired or reopened. Recovery efforts and the repair of key infrastructure continues in several areas following widespread damage. Humanitarian relief efforts have been intensified to affected communities.
