RMB Latitudes Art Fair celebrates 140 years of Joburg

The RMB Latitudes Art Fair returns to the Shepstone Gardens for its fourth edition this weekend.

The aim of the art fair remains unchanged: slow the pace, deepen exchange, and give artists, galleries, and audiences real room to engage.

This year’s theme, Oasis, is a poetic nod to Johannesburg’s 140th anniversary, a city which was built without a river or coastline, yet is relentless in producing art, music, and ideas.

Organisers say the Oasis theme explores how creativity thrives where it shouldn't, like water cuttting through stone.
