Memorial service for former NW Premier Bushy Maape

ANC leaders have hailed struggle stalwart and former North West Premier, Bushy Maape, as a servant of the people and a selfless leader.

They described Maape as a true revolutionary who fought for the liberation of this country without expecting anything in return. ANC members attended the memorial service in honour of the veteran politician in Mahikeng.

Maape died last weekend at the age of 68 in Johannesburg after a short illness. President Cyril Ramaphosa has accorded him a Special Provincial Official Funeral Category 1. Our Reporter Zebilon Maine and Video Journalist Jabu Oa Afrika compiled this report.
