Parts of NC declared disaster areas after flooding

The recent flooding also caused devastation in Northern Cape, claiming three lives.

The flooding caused millions of rand in damages.

85 villages were affected, 26 bridges damaged and 26 schools closed, leaving 13- thousand learners stranded.

The agricultural sector was not spared with losses in livestock and an interruption of the food and mouth vaccination programme.
