Immigration Tensions | eThekwini mayor pleads with communities to accept legal migrants

eThekwini Executive Mayor, Cyril Xaba says all 300 foreign nationals have been processed by Home Affairs who has found that only 1 is in the country illegally.

He has pleaded with the community to accept them back in the townships, the CBD and other residential areas.

The affected foreign nationals are from Ethiopia, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
