Immigration Tensions| Amnesty International concerned about the 'harrasment' of foreign nationals

Following immigration tensions in eThekwini where hundreds of foreign nationals have sought refuge at the Diakonia Centre in the Durban CBD, Amnesty International South Africa said perpetrators of violence against foreign nationals must be held accountable.

Spokesperson, Genevieve Quintal told SABC News that while South Africa's constitution affords everyone resident in the country access to social services, the frustrations of citizens should be directed at government who are in responsible for the failing aslylum management system.
