Political commitment will be critical to turning the ASEAN Power Grid from a long-standing vision into real cross-border energy infrastructure, says Scott Morris from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Speaking to CNA’s Elakeyaa Selvaraji at Ecosperity Week, Morris says Southeast Asian countries increasingly recognise that long-term energy security depends on greater regional interdependence, but technical, regulatory and legal barriers across the region still need to be resolved.
