China opposes direct US-Taiwan talks, warns it would break decades of diplomatic protocol

China's foreign ministry says it's against any official exchanges between Washington and Taipei.
The comments come just days after Donald Trump's visit to China.
On Wednesday, he said he could talk to the Taiwanese president about a potential arms deal - something no US president has done directly since 1979.
