Sports at the Roof of the World – Cidan Yuzhen｜次旦玉珍

Cidan Yuzhen, born in 2006 in Longzi County of Shannan, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, is now a core member of China's national ski mountaineering team. Raised on the snow-covered plateau, she embarked on her sporting career at the age of 10 and made her Olympic debut at 19. Traveling all the way from Shannan to the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics, the young skier has forged ahead with sheer grit, turned hardships into a driving force and stayed unswervingly committed to her beloved sport.

In this episode of Sports at the Roof of the World, Yuzhen looked back on her performance at the 2026 Winter Olympics and shared her deep passion for ski mountaineering. The 19-year-old also opened up about her bond with her hometown and set her sights on the 2030 Games. Every day, Yuzhen continues to forge ahead to surpass herself, striving to inspire more young aspiring athletes along the way.
