Economist warns blockade on Iran could trigger an 'international piracy' crisis

Amid reports of a full US naval blockade on Iranian ports following failed peace talks in Islamabad, economist Saeed Laylaz warned that any attempt to interfere with external trade routes could escalate into an "international act of piracy involving global powers." He said Iran could rely on alternative land and routes for imports, despite rising maritime risks and costs.
