Madlanga Commission | Probe susggest officers seized cocaine for "ulterior purpose"

Evidence suggests that a traffic officer, Chief Samuel Mashaba and an administrative cop, Warrant Officer Marumo Magane pounced on the July 2021 Aeroton Scania drug bust to seize the cocaine for an ulterior purpose.

This proposition emerged as Magane's bid to clear his name, had an adverse effect through his testimony, which instead revealed that the pair did not follow protocol, did not call authorities to the scene and that they did not have the skills to handle a drug operation.
