North West Provincial Executive Committee pays tribute to Bushy Maape

North West Premier Lazarus Mokgosi is expected to lead delegation of the Provincial Execitive Committee to the home of the former premier of North West Bushy Maape to pay homage to the struggle veteran. Former Premier Maape passed away on Saturday, 16 May 2026 in Johannesburg after a short illness. The funeral of the struggle veteran which is expected to take place on Saturday has been declared a Special Provincial Official Funeral Category 1 by President of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa.
