CoG urged to allocate adequate funds for GBV prevention and response

The Ministry of Gender, Culture and Children Services has called for urgent, deliberate and concerted efforts to tackle the alarming cases of Gender based violence and child exploitation and abuse in the country. According to the Ministry's Cabinet secretary Hannah Cheptumo, Kenya has recorded a total of 10,531 cases of child abuse in the period between 1st January 2025 to 31st March this year, a vice that requires immediate intervention from all sectors of society.
