Nairobi CBD Springs Back to Life After Suspension of Matatu Strike

Following the Tuesday afternoon announcement that the 2-day Matatu strike has been suspended, the Nairobi CBD immediately became lively with shops re-opening and several Matatus resuming services. A spot check by KBC Channel 1 at various bus termini revealed that most buses and matatus had resumed operations. And as Timothy Kipnusu now reports, the majority of Kenyans are only calling on the government to lower fuel prices, but to deal decisively with the high cost of living facing them.
