UN Security Council weighs emergency meeting as support for Hormuz resolution grows

130 countries have signed a UN Security Council draft resolution on the Strait of Hormuz.
The text calls for the protection of freedom of navigation in and around the strategic waterway.
The United Nations says close to 20,000 sailors have been stranded inside the Gulf since the Iran war began in late February.
