भारत की Digital Success Story अब Global South तक पहुंचेगी- Sibi George, Secretary (West), MEA

#WATCH | As you know, one of India’s major achievements in recent decades has been the progress made in the IT and digital sectors. Today, anywhere in the country, you will see that India is digitally connected, and this has been a great success story.

Around 50% of the world’s digital transactions now take place in India. This is a significant achievement that has been widely appreciated and acknowledged globally. It reflects a major best practice emerging from India’s digital journey.

Building on this success, India has today entered into a trilateral agreement with Norway to explore how India’s expertise, along with Norway’s strengths, can be used in third countries, including those in Africa and the Global South. This cooperation will also include UPI and other areas of digital collaboration.

This initiative relates to Digital Public Infrastructure, where we are working with friendly countries to extend its benefits to other parts of the world: Sibi George, Secretary (West), Ministry of External Affairs of India
