Western Cape storm recovery efforts continue

Mopping-up operations continue in the Western Cape after days of heavy rain and damaging winds wreaked havoc across the province.

It began with a level-8 storm that struck the Garden Route and Little Karoo about ten days ago, triggering widespread flooding, road closures and electricity outages.

Some areas recorded more than 300-millimetres of rain, with Plettenberg Bay and Knysna among the hardest hit.
