भारत Shipbuilding और Green Shipping का वैश्विक हब बन रहा है- PM Modi

#WATCH | Recently, we have undertaken next-generation reforms in areas such as taxation, labour codes, and governance. Now, we believe that India is offering the best possible opportunities to take manufacturing to the next level. We are also providing incentives in several key sectors.

A strong example of this is our shipbuilding sector. We are rapidly working to develop this sector as a strategic manufacturing industry. We are developing shipbuilding clusters and building a complete end-to-end ecosystem. Along with shipbuilding, India is also emerging as a global hub for MRO, green shipping, and maritime services.

Today, about 10% of ships for Norway are built in India. Can we take this to 25% in the next five years? I believe it is not a difficult task. Now that momentum has picked up, we need to set bigger targets and take bigger steps.
