Waste Makes a Green Comeback in Kyrgyzstan

In Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan, household waste is being transformed into green electricity, with even the slag and steam produced during the process being put to good use. The project is a fruit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries' joint efforts to balance economic growth with environmental protection. The SCO is also expanding environmental cooperation and promoting greener awareness through education.
