Protesters question fairness of VP Sara Duterte impeachment trial in Philippine Senate

The Philippine Senate has convened as an impeachment court to hear allegations against Vice President Sara Duterte, including misuse of public funds and threatening President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Protesters say they fear Duterte’s allies will not allow a fair trial. A conviction would bar her from running for president in 2028.
