Mali truck drivers defy armed group blockade to keep Bamako supplied

For a third week, an al-Qaeda-linked armed group has tightened its blockade around Mali’s capital, Bamako, increasing pressure on supply routes into the landlocked country.
Mali relies on neighbouring countries like Ivory Coast for fuel and food, but transport routes have become more dangerous with truck drivers facing growing risks.
