We Talk: French residents view US-China meeting as positive signal to the world

US President Donald Trump paid a state visit to China from May 13 to 15. During the visit, the two sides reached common understandings on the new vision of building a constructive China-US relationship of strategic stability and engaged in candid, in-depth, constructive and strategic communication on major issues concerning world peace and development, exploring a correct way for the two major countries to get along and reach a series of consensuses.

CGTN Stringer took to the streets of Paris, to ask locals about their views on the new positioning of China-US relations and their expectations for the future of China-US ties. One resident, Eve, said that both China and the US have significant global influence, meaning decisions the two countries make will inevitably affect regions around the world.
