Fear grips Bhambayi residents after Inanda shooting

Anger and fear have gripped residents of Bhambayi in Inanda, north of Durban, after a deadly shooting that left four people dead.

Police say community patrollers were on routine patrol along Nohohwana Skeke Street when they encountered three men believed to be linked to a spate of robberies in the area. A confrontation ensued, ending in a hail of gunfire.

Residents say they are living under constant threat and are demanding urgent police intervention.
