Experts say Iran seeks to legitimise Hormuz control as states seek passage

Paul Musgrave, associate professor of politics at Georgetown University in Qatar, and Hamid Reza Gholamzadeh, director of Tehran’s Diplo House think-tank, told Al Jazeera that Iran is seeking to make its control over the Strait of Hormuz internationally legitimate as countries quietly approach Tehran to secure passage amid mounting energy concerns.
