'Sea giant' carrying 400,000 tonnes of iron ore docks at Caofeidian Port #coolchina

The Yuan Jian Hai, loaded with 400,000 tonnes of Brazilian iron ore, docked at Berth 5 of the Phase III ore terminal at Caofeidian Port.

The massive vessel measures about 360 meters in length and 65 meters in width, with a deck area equivalent to three standard football fields.

Fully loaded, its draft exceeds 23 meters, while its cargo capacity would equal roughly 6,666 railway wagons carrying 60 tonnes each. #coolchina
