Girls’ rights activists urge Gov't to enforce laws on access to affordable sanitary towels

Girls' rights champions have called on the national government to implement existing laws supporting provision of and access to affordable sanitary towels for vulnerable young girls across the country. The calls come as the country prepares to join the world in marking this year’s Global Menstrual Hygiene Day later in May with the stakeholders citing high numbers of girls facing challenges in accessing the sanitary towels.
