South Africa is experiencing increasingly unpredictable and extreme weather conditions - from devastating floods in some provinces to drought, heatwaves and bitter cold fronts in others.

Climate experts say these shifts are linked to global warming, as rising global temperatures continue disrupting long-established weather patterns across the country.

In recent years, the country has seen devastating floods in KwaZulu-Natal, severe drought in parts of the Eastern Cape.

Recently, floods in the Western Cape and intense heatwaves across the interior have also raised concerns about the growing impact of climate change on vulnerable communities, particularly homeless people living on the streets.
