An IIT Kanpur study has found that E20 petrol does not damage vehicle engines and causes no major decline in mileage. The research covered both cars and motorcycles and found BS4 and BS6 vehicles safe for E20 use. Scientists advised consumers to follow vehicle user manuals and Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas guidelines.
