The work of Phala Phala Impeachment Committee likely to be delayed: Political Analysts

Parliament has this week set in motion its plan to get a Phala Phala Impeachment Committee off the ground.

This follows the Constitutional court ruling just over a week ago, that Parliament should establish an Impeachment committee to look into allegations regarding foreign currency stolen from a couch on President Cyril Ramaphosa's Phala Phala farm in 2020.

But Parliamentary processes can be time consuming. And add to that, a constituency period is coming for political parties to prepare for local government elections in November.

Political analysts say this means the likelihood of the Impeachment Committee getting stuck into its work, could be quite far off.
