Arms Deal | Zuma to appeal Pietermaritzburg High Court ruling - Patricia de Lille & Mzwanele Manyi

Former President Jacob Zuma has instructed his legal team to apply for leave to appeal Judge Nkosinathi Chili's ruling in the Pietermaritzburg High Court that it is in the interests of justice for the long-running Arms Deal corruption trial to proceed, regardless of any pending applications or appeals. Zuma and French arms manufacturer Thales have pleaded not guilty to charges including corruption, fraud, money laundering, and racketeering.

The matter has faced delays for nearly 18 years, largely due to a series of unsuccessful legal applications brought by Zuma. And now the trial is set to begin on February 1st. Let's take a look at this clip.
