Kruger National Park celebrates 100 years of conservation

The South African National Parks says the Kruger National Park remains one of the country's critical destinations – attracting close to 2 million tourists a year.

This year marks 100 years since the Park was proclaimed as the country's first national park.

In 1926 the Kruger National Park was transformed from a game reserve to a tourist attraction that prioritises nature conservation.
