#WATCH | Addressing the Indian community in the Netherlands, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said fulfilled aspirations further strengthen people’s faith in democracy.

PM Modi noted that voter turnout in the recent Assembly elections ranged between 80 to 90 percent, with a significant rise in women’s participation. India now has over 900 million registered voters, and in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, 640 million people cast their votes more than the total population of the European Union.

In a lighter moment, PM Modi asked the gathering, “Has Jhalmuri reached even here?”, drawing warm applause from the Indian diaspora.
