Rebirth of Ubuntu concert ignites musical heritage

The Rebirth of Ubuntu concert is set to return to the Joburg Theatre for its 5th edition, bringing two nights of music and culture to Johannesburg on 29 and 30 May.

Curated and produced by guitarist and composer Billy Monama, this year's event celebrates South Africa's creative industries, cultural diversity, and the role of youth in shaping the country's future under the theme "50 Years of Youth Legacy."

The concert blends heritage and contemporary expression, positioning itself as both a cultural showcase and a call for greater access, inclusion, and community change through art and storytelling.
