Last week's floodwaters filled all the Nelson Mandela Bay supply dams to capacity, but also created problems with the provision of clean water in the metro.

The poor state of the raw water is hampering the purification process leading to decreased volumes of clean water entering the system.

The water outages are leaving residents fuming.
