Xi, Trump wrap up 2-day summit at Zhongnanhai | Full speeches

Chinese President Xi Jinping explained why he chose Zhongnanhai as the meeting venue on Friday (May 15) with US President Donald Trump on the second day of his two-day state visit to China.

"This is the place where the party and the central government leaders of China work and live, including myself," said Xi, adding that he chose this place to reciprocate the hospitality during his visit to Mar-a-lago in 2017.

Xi noted that Trump was interested in the Chinese roses and he would send the seeds over to America for him.

In his remarks, Trump said he is "very impressed" with China, adding that both leaders spoke about the Iran war and agreed that Tehran should not have a nuclear weapon and that the Strait of Hormuz should be reopened.
