United States President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are set to wrap up a high-stakes summit in Beijing on Friday (May 15). The two leaders held closed-door meetings covering Taiwan, trade and other differences in US-China relations. Angela Mancini, partner at global consultancy Control Risks and head of its Asia-Pacific geopolitical risk team, tells CNA’s Asia Now that the meetings were a “good sign of stability”, but businesses are looking for “substantive deals” and a more stable relationship between the two superpowers.
