Banyana at full strength for Japan

Star player, Thembi Kgatlana, is back in the Banyana Banyana squad and coach Desiree Ellis could not be happier. Kgatlana makes a return to the team after missing last year's Women's Africa Cup of Nations. The Mexico-based striker is part of a strong squad Ellis named to face Japan in two away international friendlies next month (June 2026). The highly rated Japan are ranked 5th in the world, 53 places higher than Banyana.
